Seville : The President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales on Friday announced the UEFA Nations League clash between Spain and England that will be held at the Benito Villamarin stadium here on October 11.

Spain marked a remarkable kick-off in the newly-created UEFA tournament, claiming two wins in a row; over England (2-1) and Croatia (6-0), reports Efe.

"The idea is that all cities should be a home-ground for the national team," Rubiales said during the presentation event held at city hall.

Rubiales congratulated Real Betis club for "having asked to host a match" of the national team, after 23 years of inaction, saying he is confident that it will be "one of the best duels that could be attended."

The RFEF president explained that the redeveloped Benito Villamarin is a "wonderful stadium, one of the best," adding he is confident that it will enjoy matches with a high attendance.

Seville Mayor, Juan Espadas, said that hosting the match was wonderful news for Seville, a football-loving city.

While Betis' President, Angel Haro, stressed he is "proud" to host the match following a 23-year hiatus since the last international duel.

Haro also said he is confident that more players of his team are to join La Roja squad, following the steps of Pau Lopezy Marc Bartra who were called up for the October list.
