Suu Kyi to visit Vietnam

Yangon : Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi will visit Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, it was announced here on Saturday.

Suu Kyi will attend the 27th World Economic Forum on the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) scheduled to be held from September 11 to 13 in Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, Xinhua news agenc reported.

It will be the State Counsellor's second visit to Vietnam this year. She earlier visited the country in April. The two nations established diplomatic relations in 1975.
