Uttarakhand announces bonus for non-gazetted employees

Dehradun : Non-gazetted employees of the Uttarakhand government will get a pre-Diwali bonus of Rs 6,908, an official said on Thursday.

The proposal was announced after being cleared by the state election commission owing to the impending local body polls.

The move will benefit more than 1.5 lakh state government employees working in local bodies, technical and aided educational institutes.

There was uncertainty over the announcement as the model code of conduct is in place due to the upcoming local body polls.

The order issued by Finance Secretary Amit Negi said that the employees will get a 30-day ad hoc bonus for fiscal 2017-18.
