Valencia (Spain) : Valencia's director general Mateu Alemany on Wednesday said he was thrilled with his current squad, adding that the La Liga side had achieved all of its goals during the summer transfer window.

Valencia signed several players over the summer, including Portugal winger Gonçalo Guedes and France midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, respectively from Ligue 1 champion Paris Saint Germain and Serie A side Inter Milan, reports Efe news.

"We are delighted not only with the signings but also with the fact that the team has not lost its key players," Alemany said at a press conference, adding that Valencia's new players joined the team "in optimum condition."

The director general admitted that he was pleasantly surprised by how well the squad had come together.

Alemany said that the team might have allowed Spain forward Rodrigo Moreno to leave in the last few days of the transfer window if they had received an "irresistible" offer for both the club and the player, but it was not the case.

He also denied having engaged in any talks with Real Madrid over the player, noting that Moreno signed a contract extension seven months ago and the club is comfortable with the buy-out clauses in its players' contracts.
