Glasgow : World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) President Craig Reedie on Tuesday confirmed that he would leave his post in 2019 November.

Reedie, who has been head of WADA since 2014, told Tass news agency in an interview that he will not bid for the post again.

"My mandate finishes at the world conference in early November 2019, so that's it. I can't say that I would like to stay on. The presidential run will almost certainly go to a figure from government, from the public authorities, because there is a rotation system," Reedie said.

"The IOC (International Olympic Committee) was keen to have an independent person, but I don't think the governments are happy with that. My guess is that it will be a government person," he added.
