Akshay Kumar gifts Twinkle Khanna onion earrings
New Delhi : Actor and writer Twinkle Khanna shared with fans a rare gift she received from her husband Akshay Kumar and also narrated the story behind such an idea.
Akshay Kumar chose to go off the beat and present Twinkle Khanna onion earrings.
She wrote: “My partner returns from performing at the Kapil Sharma show and says, ‘They were showing this to Kareena, I don’t think she was too impressed, but I knew you would enjoy them so I got them for you.’ Sometimes it’s the smallest things, the silliest things that can touch your heart. #onionearrings #bestpresentaward.’”
Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor had gone on the Kapil Sharma Show to promote their upcoming movie Good Newwz. During the show, Kareena Kapoor was shown the earrings, while she did not take the earrings with her, Akshay thought of presenting them to Twinkle Khanna.
Why onion earrings? Well, given the skyrocketing price of onions this season, the joke’s always on onions.
Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor will be coming together on the big screens after a gap of 10 years, they had last worked together in Kambakht Ishq in 2009.
In Good Newwz, they will be sharing the screens with Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani.
Akshay has films like Laxmmi Bomb, Sooryavanshi and a historical called Prithviraj in his kitty, while Kareena has been shooting for Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha in Chandigarh.
