In talks with Bhavna Gupta - Mrs Royal India World 2018
New Delhi : A journalist by profession, Mrs Bhavna Gupta has been crowned Mrs. Royal India World 2018 on 29th May 2018 at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. She made her dream come true by risking her well-settled career and sheer dedication to fitness.
News Heads spoke exclusively to Bhavna Gupta about her journey:
NH: How are you feeling after winning the crown?
Bhavna: Oh I am feeling on the top of the world, the feeling is so amazing suddenly overnight my life has changed. I have become special for everyone my family and friends are proud of me, and above all, it was my dream to be the beauty queen since I was a child and today I am... so it’s just an amazing feeling.
NH: Tell us your journey from being a journalist to a beauty queen.
Bhavna: Journalism was my passion and still and will always be. I worked on almost every beat as a journalist and got lots of exposure and awards also for doing good stories. Apart from my job, I also associated myself with social work. I thought whatever knowledge I have, I should share it with those who really need that.
There I realised that this is the time to strengthen my voice and do something for my country because as a journalist I was only limited to doing stories and taking the story to follow up. And this offer of joining the peagent came in my way and I took it as the challenge.
NH: How did you manage to remain beautiful while being in one of the most hectic jobs of our country - Journalism?
Bhavna: Ofcourse, that was a difficult task because I was working almost 10-12 hrs a day. I was hardly getting time for myself and the contest was also very important for me. So I took a break from journalism for 2 months worked hard on myself gave my 100% to this journey and today I am a proud winner.
NH: How different people have started treating you in your society and workplace?
Bhavna: Yes, my life has changed overnight, now people are treating me as celebrity weather they are my friends or people at my workplace and actually they feel very proud to be associated with me which is making me really happy. And talking about the society of course, whenever I enter some event or gathering people start taking selfies with me people started looking upon me they listen carefully to wat I say ... they ask me for guidance. What I eat? What style I carry? These are few questions I face almost everywhere.
NH: So what's next? Raising the bar or staying in the job while settling with the crown.
Bhavna: Owning a crown is a responsibility, so obviously I will be doing best possible things that a queen is expected to do. I entered the peagent because I wanted to be called as “India”. Now, I want to go international and make my country proud. So, definately I will go and I am preparing for my international journey also. As far as my job is concerned as I told u that journalism is my passion and always be... so I will be soon in the field with my Mic doing good stories as this is something I enjoy doing and never wanna quit.
