Neeta Lulla to launch affordable wedding wear

Mumbai : Veteran fashion designer Neeta Lulla is launching an affordable wedding wear collection as she feels that a 'budget friendly wedding' is a real trend.

Through the label N Bride, the National Award winning costume designer plans on creating a fine balance between haute couture and prêt à porter for the discerning consumers who are sentient of fashion aesthetics.

The USP of the brand is its ability to fuse western and ethnic silhouettes, prints and designs catering to varied tastes, read a statement.

"It's become very obvious over the past few years that a lot more couples who want to have non-traditional weddings also want to look at ways to cut costs. It could be because more couples are footing the bill themselves, rather than having their parents paying, or just because they are realizing that having a budget-friendly wedding is a real trend," Lulla said in a statement.

"It's important to cater to the big middle class of India, which is going to be the next big consumer of luxury. Couture needs to be democratic and the vision is to make every garment a limited edition piece," she added.

Priced between Rs 30,000 to Rs. 1 lakh, the collection will be available at fashion stores like Aza, Ensemble, Angasutra, Label24 Dubai, Vesimi Dubai, Aashni+Co in London, Bibi in London and Pernia's Pop Up as well as the flagship The House Of Neeta Lulla store in Juhu, Mumbai.
