Fact Check: Will eatery and hotels remain close till October 15?
New Delhi : The rumours and fake news have shown a surge during the time when the Indian government is trying all possible ways to ensure the safety of its citizens from the coronavirus pandemic.
According to one of the latest fake news, it has been claimed that the tourism ministry has decided to keep the hotels and eateries shut till October 15.
The information is not correct.
The state-run Prasar Bharati News Services clarified on Wednesday that the order being cited for the claim is completely fake.

Reports claiming that hotels & restaurants will remain closed till Oct 15 owing to #COVID19 outbreak’ are wrong. The order circulating in social media in this regard is FAKE and has not been issued by the Tourism Ministry.
Govt has termed these reports as FAKE.
According to the official notifications, the hotels have been asked to not take any new guest while they have been advised to continue their services for the guests who have been stranded in them, restaurants across the country have been asked to close their dine-in facilities.
Any kind of eatery, however, is allowed to operate food delivery functions as these come under essential services which have been allowed even under the current lockdown.
