World record: Indian tea fetches Rs 40,000 per kg

Sources confirmed that tea traders in Assam bought one of the oldest tea shops in Guwahati. Lalit Kumar Jalan, owner of Assam Tea Traders, told that this Golden Needles tea is available in online shopping website

Last year, Golden Needles Tea was sold at Rs 18, 000. And this year it has been increased to 40 thousand rupees.

Earlier on July 24, in the same auction center, Golden Tip Tea for Manohari Tea Estate in Dibrugarh district of Assam was sold for Rs 39,001 a kg.

Actually, Golden Needles Tea is made up of only new sprout leaves. The process of making this kind of tea is very special which is why it is very expensive in the market.

Golden Needles Tea cultivated in the east of the Arunachal border, was started. This type of tea is made from very carefully cut small buds and golden layer leaves, which are soft and velvety.

The beverage made from this special tea is sweet and has a very good aroma. There is a lot of demand for this tea leaves. It is specially prepared, so it is prepared in very small amounts. To prepare this tea leaves, you have to depend on special techniques and exact weather conditions.

According to Manoj Kumar, Manager of Dooni Polo Tea Estate, it is necessary to work hard to prepare this kind of tea. Another variety of this is Silver Needles White T. 17,001 rupees per kg.
