New Delhi : Press Club of India will felicitate Asia Masters gold medalist Sanjeev Tokas and his son swimmer Arjun Tokas for their proud record in the world of swimming. 

This father-son duo created the first such world record in the field of swimming on 6 June 2022. The pair successfully crossed the Bonifacio Channel from Corsica, France to Sardinia, Italy, in just five hours and three minutes against challenging weather, winds and obstacles. This is the first swimming father-son duo in the whole world to achieve such a world-renowned feat. 

According to the world record-setting father-son duo, they started swimming from Punta Serena beach at 8 a.m. and successfully reached the Reina Bianca beach at 1:30 p.m., which is a challenging swim for any swimmer. 

Expressing happiness on the occasion, Vijay Chaturvedi, former Management Committee member of Press Club of India said, “Father-Son, Sanjeev and Arjun tokas will be given a grand welcome in the premises of Press Club of India. It is a matter of pride for our country."

Press Club of India President Umakant Lakhera congratulated the father-son swimming pair for setting such a unique first-world record of successfully crossing the Bonifacio Channel in France.

Manoj Kumar Sharma, a senior member of the Press Club of India has expressed happiness to welcome the swimming pair of father-son who have made the nation proud. He says that it is a proud day for our country; this duo is a true example that we the Indians are no less than anyone in this world.

Press Club of India will welcome and honor swimming father-son duo Sanjeev Tokas and his son Arjun Tokas along with other senior journalists tomorrow at the premises of the Press Club of India.
