India's youngest child, weighing only 375 grams: All you need to know
Hyderabad : Recently, India's youngest child was born at the Rainbow Children Hospital in Hyderabad. According to the medical report, the weight of the baby was 0.8 lbs ie, only 375 grams and its length was only 20 centimeters, immediately after birth. The child was too small to hold easily in the palm. Despite being the least weight, it is the first smallest child in India to survive.
The little baby girl has been named Riddhima. She is also called cherry by the family.
According to medical science, the probability of survival of children whose birth is less than 500 grams is less than 50 percent. And cherry born with only 375 grams seems to be an exceptional case.
In an interview, Cherry's father told that before the birth of Cherry, her mother Nikita had miscarriage four times. Seeing her condition, a friend had advised her to seek treatment for Nikita in Hyderabad.
Doctors believed that the chance of survival of cherry was very low, because the blood flow in her body when she was in her mother’s womb was not proper as seen in normal cases.
To inform, during pregnancy, due to lack of blood flow in the placenta, the baby born in the womb does not get the right amount of oxygen and nutrients, which threatens the life of the baby. Also, due to this, the development of the baby's body in the womb is not properly developed. Apart from this, there is a danger of pre-mature delivery before due date.
Considering all these compliments, Cherry's parents chose Hyderabad's Rainbow Children Hospital for her birth. This hospital has special doctors for the birth of pre-mature children.
After several compliments, Cherry was born in this world. She was placed on ventilator for about 15 weeks after birth. After 38 days of birth, the weight of cherries increased from 375 grams to 500 grams.
After staying in the hospital for 128 days, Cherry has finally been discharged from the hospital. According to the report, the weight of the cherry was 2 kg and she was absolutely healthy before the family left for their home.

At birth, this baby had weighed only 244 grams and its length was so small that it would be in the palm of anybody's hand. Hebe was born with his twin sister, whose length and height were slightly more than that of Heiba.
