Locust in Delhi-NCR: How memers made their arrival funny
New Delhi : Locusts were spotted in Gurugram on Saturday, triggering panic amongst residents and advisories getting issued from the state governments to tackle them.
The Delhi administration advised people to keep their doors closed and bang utensils to keep locusts away. The Gurugram administration made loud noises by using sirens and horns so as to prevent the locusts from settling on green vegetation.
Last month, locusts wreaked havoc in different states as they are capable of destroying crops.
Soon after reports of their arrival in the national capital, the memers took things in their hands to tickle the funny bones. While one user hilariously questioned, “Are Locust tasty when cooked? Asking for friends in Gurgaon…..! #LocustsAttack (sic)”, another tweeted, “Another gift from # Pakistan This is #LocustsJihad #LocustsAttack has reached Delhi-NCR Currently in Gurugram Sealing Delhi-Gurgaon border in this case won’t help #LOC #Kashmir #Jihad (sic)” and yet another wrote humourously, “#LocustsAttack has reached Delhi-NCR Currently in Gurugram Sealing Delhi-Gurgaon border in this case won’t help… because Pancchi, TIDDIYAN, pawan ke jhonke, koi sarhad na inhe roke (sic)”
