Bikaner : A grand Gangaur procession was taken out on Saturday at Bikaner House, New Delhi, as part of the 11-day Rajasthan Utsav, which will continue till March 25, 2026.
On the occasion, Additional Resident Commissioner Mrs. Anju Om Prakash informed that nearly 200 women participated in the Mangal Kalash Yatra, carrying pots and coconuts on their heads while circumambulating the entire Bikaner House premises.
The procession was led by Rajasthani folk artists, who captivated the audience with performances such as mashak vadan and kachhi ghodi. Following this, hundreds of men and women, dressed in traditional attire, joined the procession, singing auspicious songs and celebrating the spirit of Gangaur.
Idols of Isar (Lord Shiva) and Gauri (Goddess Parvati) were installed, beautifully adorned, and worshipped during the event.
She further added that, owing to the weekend, a large number of visitors from across Delhi attended the festival, enjoying authentic Rajasthani cuisine and actively purchasing handicrafts created by local artisans.
