New Delhi : The nine-day retrospective exhibition, titled "Saroj Jain: The Silence Within," concluded on April 3, 2023, at the Shridharani Gallery & Sculpture Court in Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi. The exhibition celebrated the life and work of the late sculptor Saroj Jain, who passed away in February 2022. The event attracted numerous art enthusiasts from across India who were captivated by the inspiring body of works displayed at the gallery.

Jain's retrospective exhibition showcased her unique style of cubist sculpture, which she had developed over four decades of her illustrious career. The exhibition featured a diverse range of Jain's sculptures, including some of her most iconic works, giving the visitors an opportunity to experience her exceptional talent in modern sculpture.

Jain was a highly respected sculptor, and her artworks have been exhibited in renowned galleries and museums worldwide. Many of her pieces have found homes in prestigious private collections, including the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Lalit Kala Akademi, and the Delhi College of Art, among others. Her influence can be seen in the work of her students and numerous contemporary sculptors, and her contribution to the world of art is immeasurable

“As a celebration of the lifelong legacy of my Masi, Ms. Saroj Jain, PJMT has established the ‘Saroj Jain Sculpture Awards’ in some of the most prominent fine Arts institutions of India. The award was instituted in 2023 in Vishwa Bharti Santiniketan, Sir JJ School of Arts, Mumbai and Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi, and are in talks with several other iconic institutions in India. The Saroj Jain Sculpture Award aims to recognise and encourage contemporary sculpture students, and PJMT will be presenting this to 3 of the most creative and promising BFA and MFA students every year." Amar Shridharani, Honorary General Secretary, Triveni Kala Sangam who has been associated with Saroj Jain for many decades said, " I will always remember Ms.Saroj Jain for her gentle nature. She brought serenity along with her whenever she came to Triveni."

"It was a wonderful sculpture exhibition of master sculpture by Mrs. Saroj Jain. I feel exited to inaugurate her show and feel excited to enjoy her body of works. Each and every sculpture was full of aesthetical essences . Each and every composition, thoughts and ideas were unique," said, Padma Shri Prof Biman B.Das, after inaugurating the exhibition.

"The expressions in her sculptures were beyond human feelings and words to be explained. I loved how each painting encapsulates an artwork that had its non personal touch in my head. I would love to see more of Saroj Jain, "Disha Patel an art lover who came from Indore to witness the exhibition.
