New Delhi : On the occasion of the 96th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a seminar and honor ceremony was organized under the 'Self-reliant India Scheme'. In the event organized at the Constitution Club of India in memory of the revered Shri Atal ji on Friday, many distinguished people were honored for their outstanding work done towards the society during the Corona lockdown period.

Former Union Minister of Government of India Shri Nagmani participated in this program as the chief guest. He said, 'I remember and bow to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, who was a prolific orator, skilled administrator and a statesman. His vision of Indian culture & science surprised the world as the strength of his foresight. Following the philosophy of Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam, India conducted Pokhran Test under Atal Ji's leadership that paved the path of Self-reliance (Aatmnirbhar Bharat).

The Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Kuldeep Sharma, honored the distinguished dignitaries at the event.

Educationist Shri Manoj Kumar Sharma was awarded the Self-Reliant India Scheme Award for his outstanding contribution in the field of Public Relations, education and social service. Addressing the media, Mr. Manoj Sharma said, "Today I feel honored to receive this award from such distinguished personalities on the birth anniversary of Shri Atal ji. These honors make us aware and vigilant towards the society so that we can continue the good works. Atal ji's memory will inspire generations for ages to come."

Senior journalist Mr. Shailesh Tiwari was awarded the 'Corona Warrior' award for his outstanding journalism during the Corona period. Mr. Shailesh said, "The corona epidemic has awakened our consciousness and conscience. The solution to eradicate the darkness that has spread in the world are compassion, sacrifice and service. This service can be brought on the footsteps of the late Shri Atal ji. Today I am feeling the inherent responsibility which I will continue to fulfill."

At the end of the ceremony, the Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Kuldeep Sharma said, "Much gratitude to all the dignitaries present here. Today, on the 96th birth anniversary of Atal ji, we pledge to make this country self-sufficient by taking care of his thoughts with the hopes that the New year brings new hope and energy."
