Watch: Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2020 begins in Haryana
New Delhi : The much-awaited 34th Surajkund International Craft Mela has begun in Haryana from February 1, 2020. It will continue for 16 days and has been designed in accordance to the theme 'Himachal Pradesh'.
For the inauguration of the event, President of India Ram Nath Kovind, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and other state ministers were present on the first day.
This year, a total of 40 countries are participating in it to showcase their handicrafts and other artistic things.
The entry ticket has been kept Rs 120 per person on weekdays and Rs 180 per person on the weekends.
The Surajkund Crafts Mela was first hosted in 1987. Since then the festival is hosted annually by the Haryana Tourism Department in Surajkund. This is 34th time the Surajkund Mela will be held at Faridabad. More than 1 million visitors come to watch it every year.

Indira Gandhi International airport is the nearest airport. If you are at the Delhi airport then Surajkund is a 35-minute drive for you and if you are at Palam airport then you are 25 km away from Surajkund.
Rail Route
Delhi is the nearest railway junction. But other than that both Faridabad and Gurgaon are both linked to Delhi via railway lines.
Anyone from each of these stations can travel to Surajkund by car/cab or tourist coach.
Road Route
Surajkund is well-connected to Delhi, Gurgaon and Faridabad via road. It is easily accessible by tour coaches, tourist taxis and other public conveyance.
Bus Route
