Udaipur mall bans Swiggy, Zomato delivery boys to use lift

Udaipur : When you want food at your doorsteps, online food delivery services like Zomato and Swiggy come into the picture. Their delivery boys battle harsh weather to bring the food on time. In fact, during the pandemic they were the ones delivering food to the needy people. For what they do, they deserve an appreciation; however, this Udaipur mall things opposite.

The mall has banned Zomato and Swiggy delivery boys from using the lift, instead asked them to use stairs. An image is being circulated on Twitter which says Swiggy and Zomato executives were not allowed to use the lift inside the building and need to take the stairs instead.

As expected, people on social media have shown their support for the delivery boys and they have slammed the notice. One user wrote, "This is absolutely rubbish. Deliver guys are humans not robots, we should respect them like others @zomato @swiggy_in plz instruct ur delivery partners, if they see something like this, they must call customer to come down the stairs for order pickup."

Another wrote, "Glad you called this out... shocking acceptance of this practice in so called educated upwardly mobile and forward-thinking sections of society! It’s appalling."
