New Delhi : Global Warming is one factor that needs all of the human kind attention if we need to survive on the planet Earth.

Making the thought scarier is a recent data released by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) that claims, 2017 has found with the highest ocean temperature till date, putting the marine ecosystems in jeopardy.

The upper layer of the ocean up to 2kms had temperature higher than the recorded second warmest year which was 2015.

The Atlantic and Antarctic oceans warmed up the fastest, as warming has already taken place in most of the other seas, state-run Xinhua news agency quoted the report as saying.

It has been learned that the rise in temperature is a result of human activities as 90 per cent of temperatures are absorbed by the oceans.

The marine system is facing its side effects with coral reef and other species shrinking in population.

Other impacts of an increase in ocean level include destructive erosion, contamination of agricultural soil, loss of habitat for flora and fauna as well as humans, etc.

A rise in sea level has been recorded in past years due to melting of ice.
