Science never fails, mission not failed: PM Narendra Modi to ISRO scientists

Bengaluru : Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Indian Space Research Scientists ( ISRO) on Saturday morning after India lost communication with its moon lander – Vikram – just 2.1 kms above the surface of the planet during its final phase of the landing.

Applauding the tremendous efforts of the scientists involved in the project, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the great thing associated with science is that it never fails, no matter what the result is. There is always learning.

He also said that the Chandrayaan 2 Mission has not failed as out orbiter is safe and proudly rotating on the Moon orbit.

Making sure that the scientists are not left disheartened, he said at the time when communication was lost he was present inside the ISRO centre and could read your faces and expressions. PM Narendra Modi said he is with them and ISRO will bounce back soon.

Success and failures are a part of the journey.

While he was talking the similar tones he sounded after the news of lost communication, PM Modi said he has returned not to give a speech but to see all of the scientists who are nothing less than an inspiration to him.
