Stephen Hawking passed away on the same day Albert Einstein was born

New Delhi : Famous physicist Stephen Hawking passed away on March 14, the same day when world celebrated 139th birth anniversary of Albert Einstein, best known for giving the world's most famous equation, mass-energy equivalence formula E=mc2.

Stephen Hawking died at an age of 76, confirmed a spokesperson for the family. He lived most of his life on the wheelchair but still contributed much to the world of science.

While Stephen Hawking wrote a book ‘A Brief History of Time’; Albert Einstein published more than 300 scientific papers along with over 150 non-scientific works.

Stephen Hawking received awards for his work including the 1979 Albert Einstein Medal, the Order of the British Empire (Commander) in 1982 and the 1988 Wolf Prize in Physics. He won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1921 for his explanation of the photoelectric effect.

Both the scientists have played a major role in making people understand Physics in a better way. The world will never forget their contribution.
