New Delhi : Stephen Hawking, late physicist, cosmologist has predicted that the universe will come to an end one day. Yes!  Hawking on his final work – A Smooth Exit from Eternal Inflation calculated that the universe would ultimately end when stars run out of energy.

Hawking was working regularly until his death on 14th March 2018, on his final work which is at present being reviewed by a leading scientific journal. In his work, he has mentioned a theory clearing up how we might detect parallel universes and prediction for the end of the world.

He, however has mentioned that scientists can find alternate universes using surveys on space ships, allowing humans to form an even better understanding of our own universe, what else is out there and our place in the cosmos.

The physicist’s last research work was published at the side of his co-author, Professor Thomas Hertog, of KU Leuven University in Belgium.

On speaking with The Sunday Times, Prof Hertog said, “He has often been nominated for the Nobel and should have won it. Now he never can.” The professor mentioned that Hawking could have won that prize for his extra-ordinary work on this final paper (A Smooth Exit from Eternal Inflation)

Sources confirmed that Stephen Hawing suffered from a rare form of motor neuron disease since 1964 that left him in a wheelchair with very little muscular mobility. With much discomfort, he then died in Cambridge at the age of 76.

It is really inspiring that how he beat the odd health condition and lived so long with the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Since 1985 he used a trademark computer system, a speech synthesiser that allowed him to speak with a computerised voice of an American accent.

He was best known for the publication of his landmark book A Brief History of Time. Published in 1988, the publication went on to sell more than 10 million copies.

Though Scientist Stephen Hawking is no more in this world, he will remain forever alive for his marvellous contribution in the field of Science. Long live his memories!
