New Delhi : The Indian Space Research Organization ( ISRO) on Monday said that the Vikram lander on Chandrayaan 3 has established a connection with the Chandrayaan 2 orbiter. The soft landing of Vikram lander is scheduled for August 23 on the moon.

On Sunday, ISRO had informed that the lander module is in 25 km x 134 km orbit. The agency will be attempting the soft landing on August 23, 2023.

On the other hand, doubts were raised over the mission after news of Russia's Luna 25 aircraft crash came to light.

The scientists and researchers are confident that there will be no effect of Luna 25 crash on the ISRO's Chandrayaan 3 mission. The Luna-25 spacecraft crashed into the Moon after it spun into an uncontrolled orbit, Russia’s Roscosmos space agency said on August 20.
