New Delhi : Bringing major relief to the astronauts – Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore – who have been stranded in the orbit for over nine months, SpaceX's Crew Dragon docked with International Space Station on Sunday.

The Crew Dragon astronauts were seen embracing Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore upon their arrival to the ISS. Watch video below:

The Crew Dragon Astronauts, who will be replacing the existing stranded ones, include Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Takuya Onishi and Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov.

The Crew-10 team will be spending some time on the ISS to acclimating to the environment and taking handover from Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore.

It must be noted that the astronauts were scheduled to return on the Earth after their brief stay on the ISS, but with ongoing technical delays and the two astronauts were stranded in the orbit for more than nine months.

With Crew 10 team now reaching the space station, Williams and Butch are expected to start their journey for Earth later this week.
