The Delhi High Court on Thursday gave Centre a month's time to file its report on what actions have been taken against the hate speeches by the several political leaders that ignited violence in the national capital.

The Delhi High Court judge Justice S Muralidhar was seen grilling the Centre, the state government and the Delhi Police over the violence in the northeast region of the national capital. And now, the reports have come that he has been transferred to the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Official sources call it a routine transfer recommended by a Supreme Court panel two weeks ago.

20 people have been killed in violence related cases in Delhi and more than 250 people have been reported injured.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued a notice to the Delhi Police over the violence in the Northeast district of the national capital. The court was hearing a plea filed by retired bureaucrat Harsh Mander on violence in which 20 people have been killed.

The Centre on Thursday said that the NRC data of Assam is safe though it is not visible on the website due to some technical issues which will be resolved soon.

Supreme Court on Monday said that anti-CAA protesters at the Shaheen Bagh cannot block roads and create inconvenience for others.

Tihar Jail authorities filed a plea in the court demanding fresh warrant to hang all the four convicts of Nirbhaya Gangrape and murder case, but it got rejected.

West Bengal became the fourth state on Monday to pass an anti-CAA resolution in the state assembly. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the protest "is not only of minorities, I thank my Hindu brothers for leading this protest from the forefront".
