For the first time in history, Indian Railways will be allowing a private player to operate two trains, including Delhi Lucknow Tejas Express, said a PTI report. The development comes even as the Railways moves ahead with its 100-day agenda released under the newly-formed government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

To make Holi 2019 more special, the Northern Railway has announced the launch of special trains which will help people meet their families in this festival of colors. This year, Holi will be celebrated on March 20 and March 21. Accordingly, the railway officials have published the schedules for these trains are as follows.

The Indian Railways are giving best possible efforts to make train journey comfortable and affordable for people of the country. For now, it is offering concessions on ticket prices to senior citizens ranging from 40 per cent to 50 per cent. The special reductions in fares are available in all classes of mail, express, Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi, Duronto group of trains. Concessions in fares are available for male senior citizens of minimum 60 years and female senior citizen of minimum 58 years.
