The NIA on Monday arrested Riyas Aboobacker for allegedly being in touch with some of the Islamic State operatives who were planning Sri Lanka like suicide bombing in Kerala.

The men set off explosives after an hour-long gun battle with police Saturday, inside what was believed to be a jihadist hideout near the eastern town of Kalmunai, in the latest fallout from the Easter attacks.

An 18-year-old girl from Pune has been arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police; she was allegedly plotting a suicide attack on the Republic Day. Police also claimed that Sadia Anwar Shaikh has also links to Islamic State.
