IIT Bombay has secured the first rank, while IIT-Kharagpur stood fifth in QS India Rankings 2020 among the central universities, stated a report.

The esteemed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur takes pride to announce that it has won the prestigious DSCI Excellence Award 2018 for cyber security education.

In an attempt to boost the power of research as a part of education, the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry has decided to spend Rs. 418 crore from 2018-20 on collaborative research between Indian and foreign institutes under the 'Scheme for promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration' (SPARC).

Offers were made to as many as 1,200 students at the end of phase one of the 2017-18 placement season at IIT Kharagpur -- a 15 per cent jump from last year, a statement from the institute said on Thursday.

The placement season is on at IIT Kharagpur, over 300 students have already been placed from the camous in the initial two days.
