Bus conductor Ashok, first accused in the gruesome murder case of Class II student Pradyuman Thakur, was allegedly beaten up, hung upside down, tortured and sedated, to coerce a confession, his family has claimed.

Gurgaon District Court on Tuesday granted bail to accused conductor Ashok Kumar in Pradyuman Thakur murder case with a Rs 50,000 security bond. He was arrested on September 8.

A day after CBI found out that Pradyuman was killed by one of his seniors from the same school; the bus conductor's family has decided to file a complaint against Gurugram Police officers who framed the bus conductor as main culprit in the first investigation.

A four-member CBI team on Thursday visited Gurugram with the 16-year-old student accused of killing a Class 2 student of Ryan International School here to reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the September 8 murder.

After a local court in Gurugram sent a 16-year-old accused into CBI custody, the officials started questioning him on Thursday. Initial investigation has found that he killed Pradyuman with a motive to get examinations postponed.

Pradyuman Thakur murder case: In the initial investigation, CBI has found no involvement of the conductor in the case. However, the agency denied giving him a clean chit in the case.

The CBSE has told the Supreme Court that Pradhuman Thakur's death in a Gurugram school could have been averted, had school authorities discharged their duties and responsibilities with care and sincerity, a lawyer said on Thursday.

Neerja Batra, the principal suspended from Ryan International School after the brutal death of Class three student Pradyuman, has been reappointed at another branch of the same school; this time she will be serving as a teacher.

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday adjourned, till Thursday morning, the hearing in the anticipatory bail plea filed by Ryan International School trustees in a case involving the murder of a Class 2 student at their Gurugram branch.
