Delhi Police on Tuesday cleared the Shaheen Bagh protest site for being in violation of the ongoing lockdown over spreading Covid-19 disease in the national capital.

On the day when India held Janta curfew to break the chain of spreading coronavirus, Shaheen Bagh continued their protest against the CAA with just five women sitting on the protest site on behalf of everyone.

Despite several advisories issued by the government to avoid mass gatherings to control the spread of COVID-19, the protesters at Shaheen Bagh have claimed that they will continue their agitation against the CAA while taking proper security measure.

Two months after the CAA and NRC protesters had blocked the Jamia-Noida road; the authorities have managed to reopen the route, ending woes of the Noida-Delhi-Faridabad commuters.

After 69 days of the blockade, the authorities briefly reopened the Noida-Faridabad road linking Noida with Kalindi Kunj in Delhi. However, the cops placed barricades back within hours. The stretch has been closed for past two months due to the CAA and NRC protests in Shaheen Bagh.

Supreme Court on Monday said that anti-CAA protesters at the Shaheen Bagh cannot block roads and create inconvenience for others.

Voting for the much awaited Delhi Elections 2020 is all set to begin from 8 am on Saturday morning to decide the new government. In a new twist to BJP vs AAP battle over the Shaheen Bagh shooter, his father has claimed that neither he nor his son belongs to Aam Aadmi Party, contradicting claims made by the Delhi Police officer based on the observation of pictures received in his mobile phone.

Aam Aadmi Party has tagged the Delhi Police officer as 'BJP spokesperson' after he claimed that the arrested Shaheen Bagh shooter was a primary member of AAP. The party claimed that this is all a conspiracy of BJP and the Delhi Police is working on the orders of Union Minister Amit Shah.
