India's official entry to Oscars in the Best Foreign Language category at the 92nd Academy Awards, Gully Boy is now out of the race. On Monday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released the list of shortlisted movies and Gully Boy's name was missing from it.

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy has become India's official entry for the Oscars 2020. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film is a story of a Mumbai’s street rappers and was said to loosely based on rapper Naezy’s life.

After enjoying a fatastic opening weekend, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh's latest release 'Gully Boy' is on a constant decline during weekdays. Zoya Akhtar's movie registered a further 30 per cent low on Wednesday with collections of around Rs 5.75 crore, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com.

Gully Boy director Zoya Akhtar shared her views on Kangana Ranaut's allegation that Bollywood celebrities do not support her work enough. Zoya was present at a promotional event for her upcoming movie Gully Boy where she was asked to respond over Kangana's accusations. Zoya, who is appreciated for strong female characters in her films, said that she doesn’t understand what Kangana says.

Upcoming Bollywood movie 'Gully Boy' was premiered at the Berlin Film Festival on Saturday. Soon after, people started posting their reactions on social media; mostly in favour of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's favour.

The Gully Boy star was at a Lakme Fashion Week event in Mumbai; he was performing on one of his songs from the movie when he decided to end the performance by jumping over fans. However, the cool stint ended in hurting a few.

Teaser comes a day after posters of the movie were shared by Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh on the social media. In one and a half minute long video, Ranveer Singh's beat boxing describes his struggle to reach in top from Mumbai streets. Kalki Koechline and Alia Bhatt also makes an appearance.
