India Open badminton: PV Sindhu beats Saina Nehwal, enters semis
New Delhi : Rio Olympics 2016 silver medallist PV Sindhu on Friday defeated two-time India Open badminton champion Saina Nehal, entering into semi-finals of India’s Badminton World Federation superseries tournament at Siri Fort Sports Complex.
In a tight battle, PV Sindhu registered a 21-16, 22-20 victory over the 2012 Olympic bronze medallist.
With the victory, Sindhu will now face world no 2 Sung Ji Hyun in the semi-final on Saturday.
