Super Series semi-final: Sindhu beats her Olympic opponent Carolina Marin

New Delhi : Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu avenged her defeat at the Rio Games to two-time World Champion Carolina Marin with a thrilling victory in do-or-die women’s singles Group B contest and sealed her place at the semifinals of the BWF World Super Series Finals.

In 46-minute long game, Sindhu gave no chance to her opponent and claimed a straight win by 21-17, 21-13.

With this win, Sindhu finished in the second place behind China's Sun Yu, who won all the three matches, in Group B.
