World Badminton Championships final: Sindhu wins silver medal for India

Glasgow : It will require a bit more of efforts for PV Sindhu to get her hands on the gold medal as she managed a silver medal for India in the World Badminton Championships in Glasgow on Sunday.

PV Sindhu fought hard to give a neck to neck competition to Olympic 2016 bronze medallist Okuhara in the final game. But, she had to face defeat with 19-21, 22-20, 20-22 in the game that lasted for an hour and 50 minutes.

This is PV Sindhu's third medal in the World Badminton Championship. Earlier, she had won bronze medal twice in the year 2013 and 2014 respectively.

Joining Sindhu on the podium was Saina Nehwal who won Bronze medal for India in the latest edition of the championship.

This was the first time when India won two medals at once in the World Badminton Championships.
