Sarita Devi starts with huge win in pro-boxing

Imphal : It was winning start for ace Indian boxer L Sarita Devi in her debut pro boxing match. Sarita Devi  outpunched Hungary’s Zsofia Bedo in the IBC Fight Night at the at the Khuman Lampak Stadium.

Earlier, Bedo had challenged to reduce Sarita to tears but the Indian settled the scores in the ring.

Zsofia and Sarita have been engaged in verbal spats since the announcement of this bout.

Zsofia had an experience of 59 pro bouts but debutante Sarita was a better boxer from the word go, flooring Zofia in round two.

The 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games Silver medallist, Sarita proved her overall superiority and made it clear that she is ready to rule the professional world.

It has been beeline for Indian boxers turning professionals after Vijender Singh started the move.
