New Delhi : Ravi Shastri has been finalised as the 'head coach' for Team India, ending two-month long drama over successor of Anil Kumble, who resigned from the post after Champions Trophy.

He had been associated with Team India as director from 2014 to 2016. And now, he will be with the team till 2019 World Cup.

  1. Born on May 27, 1962, former Indian cricketer's full name is Ravishankar Jayadritha Shastri.

  2. He was just 17 years old when he was selected for Mumbai Ranji Team on the basis of his unmatched performance. He is also the youngest cricketer to play for Mumbai.

  3. His great looks made him a poster boy for Team India and his romance with Amrita Singh is no mystery.
