New Delhi : Team India on Thursday sealed second Test match with a historic event by making it shortest Test played ever in the history. While the poor condition of pitch has become the centre of criticism after this match, the former players have been seen taking a jibe at how India has been targeted unduly in the past.

Team India’s former opener, Virender Sehwag, took to social media to share his thoughts over the pitch. He wrote, “Aap karo toh Chamatkar.. Hum karein toh pitch bekaar. 107 overs - Test Match over. Also proves, anything there for the fast bowlers, we are more threatening with our quality. Bumrah and Siraj were spectacular and a good beginning to 2024."

Also former Indian pacer Irfan Pathan too lauded the Indian bowling attack and advised overseas cricketers not to complain while playing in India. He took to X and wrote, “When overseas cricketers come to India on turning pitches they shouldn’t complain. It’s a skill they need to improve!"

Meanwhile, in the post match ceremony, Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma also slammed people who criticised Indian pitches for being not good.

The Indian side chased down fourth inning total of 79 runs in just 12 overs at Newlands to complete the match that was schedule to end on Sunday evening. The match lasted for only 642 balls, which is the quickest in test history.
