New Delhi : Sri Lanka executed a thrilling match against Bangladesh to reach Super 4 of the Asia Cup 2022. The former won the game by 2 wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

From Group B, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan have managed to qualify for Super 4; Bangladesh has to bid adieu to the tournament from here.

Bangladesh gave a stellar performance and scored a massive 183/7 in 20 overs. After the first innings, it was sure that the match is going to be a thriller one. Put into to bat first, Bangladesh promoted Mehidy Hasan Miraz (38 off 26) to open the innings and he gave them a flying start. But Sri Lanka bounced back and struck the wickets at regular intervals to keep the game in their hands.

Chasing the challenging total, Sri Lanka also lost their wickets at regular intervals. But they fought till the end and managed to win the game by two wickets and reach Super 4.

Brief scores: Bangladesh 183/7 in 20 overs (Atif Hossain 39, Mehdiy Hasan Miraz 38; Chamika Karunaratne 2/32) lost to Sri Lanka 184/8 in 19.2 overs (Kusal Mendis 60, Dasun Shanaka 45; Ebadot Hossain 3/51) by 2 wickets
