Australia ropes in Sridharan Sriram as spin consultant for India tour

New Delhi : The Australians have appointed an Indian to help them to play spin in India. The Aussies have roped in the former Indian international Sridharan Sriram, as a spin consultant for upcoming daunting tour of India.

The former Indian player was also associated with Cricket Australia, last year during the World T20 and Sri Lanka tour. 

Sriram has played eight ODIs for Indian between 2000-04. 

Sriram will travel to Dubai on with some of the Australian squad during the team's training camp ahead of the Indian tour.

Not only Sriram, the Aussies have also roped in Monty Panesar, the England left-arm spinner for the tour of India. Panesar, had played a crucial role in 2012-13, in India and helped England to beat India.

It will be a daunting tour for Australia, as they haven’t won a Test in India since 2004. Last time they toured India, it was a 4-0 humiliation. 

Recently, under Virat Kohli the Indian team in red hot form as they defeated South Africa first, then New Zealand and England convincingly.
