New Delhi : Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) chief selector Chetan Sharma is set to lose his post after a sting operation by a news channel revealed irregularities in the sport over selection of players in the national team.

A source in the report has claimed that BCCI is now looking forward to replace him amid ongoing controversy regarding the Zee News sting operation.

It has been learned that BCCI has called Chetan Sharma for questioning in the matter and will soon reveal an official statement on it.

On Tuesday, Zee News broadcasted a sting operation in which Chetan Sharma was seen revealing the irregularities, which included selection issue, Sourav Ganguly vs Virat Kohli ego fight and players taking injection for achieving health targets.

During the sting operation, Chetan Sharma revealed that there was an ego fight between former captain Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli. He also claimed that several players take injections to achieve the health target and make a return in the competitive game, despite their health being 80 to 85% fit.

He also mentioned that there was a difference in opinion between him and the team management over the selection of Jasprit Bumrah and the T20 Series against Australia.

No official comment has been received from Chetan Sharma over the matter yet.
