Wellington : At the end of the second T20 in New Zealand, India's off-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took the mic to take reactions from the playing field itself but ended up getting swear from Martin Guptill that too in Hindi.

Chahal reached out Martin Guptill, who was having a chat with India vice-captain Rohit Sharma on the field, and greeted the Black Caps batsman who replied with "hey g***du".

Rohit Sharma could not control his laughter after hearing what Martin Guptill said without realizing that Chahal had mic in his hands and they were live on the national television.

India on Sunday registered 2-0 lead against the New Zealand as they won the game by six wickets.

Chasing a modest target of 133, India rode on superb knocks from KL Rahul (57 not out) and Shreyas Iyer's quickfire 44 off 33 balls to cross the finish line in 17.3 overs.

"We probably knew we were light on runs. But we had to try and defend that, and get early wickets upfront. Thought the bowlers did well in the front six overs, we needed more wickets after Virat got out. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul batted very well and we were not able to break that partnership," Guptill said after the game.

"They played very well, as hard as they did the other night. They built partnerships to put pressure on us. We were not able to do that and got out-batted tonight. India have got some great players and match winners. It is hard for the boys to go out there and try their best. Sometimes you come up short," Guptill further added.

The two teams will now play their next match on January 29.
