According to a news report, Deepak felt mild pain in the lower back following the second ODI played in Vizag on Wednesday. After complete examination by the BCCI medical team, he has been advised rest for a couple of days to fully recover from the injury.

Following the assessment, Chahar has been ruled out of the third ODI.
