Ind Vs Aus, ICC World Cup 2019: Confident India to take on defending champions Australia

Oval : India Vs Australia Preview: After registering a confident win against South Africa in their World Cup opener, team India will now face the defending champions Australia in Oval on Sunday. Team India skipper Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri have to put their thinking caps on and contemplate a tactical rejig before taking on the mighty Australians.

Australia have changed their game completely in last couple of months and they have shown their class against Afghanistan and West Indies.

India must be worried because Australia seems to have regained the momentum it had lost after suspensions of David Warner and Steve Smith. Another cause of worry will be India's defeat in ODI series at home during the last bilateral encounter.

In fact, Australia’s batting coach Ricky Ponting is apprehending a shift in strategy from the Indians, who have of late rattled them with quality pace bowling. “Do they maybe go with only the one spinner and use (all-rounder) Kedar Jadhav as a second spinner and play another fast bowler?” Ponting told cricket-com.au recently.

“We’ll worry about that in the next couple of days and make sure all the boys are prepared,” he added.
