India vs Afghanistan, ICC World Cup 2019: Rishabh Pant set to make World Cup debut

Southampton : Virat Kohli-led Team India would be looking to continue their unbeaten run in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 as they will face Afghanistan in Southampton on Saturday. With three wins in four matches, Team India currently holds fourth place on the points table with a net run rate of +1.027.

With team's opener Shikhar Dhawan getting ruled out due to thumb injury, it is expected that Rishabh Pant will be making a World Cup debut against Afghanistan. He will be getting batting No.4 position in the team.

In the bowling department, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was also ruled out for 2-3 matches after suffering a hamstring injury and in all likelihood, Mohammed Shami will take his place in the playing XI. He will be partnering Jasprit Bumrah in the pace department with Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal being the two specialist spinners.
