New Delhi : The second Test match between India and West Indies ended in a draw after rain played a spoiled sport to wash away maximum time on the final day of Queen's Park Oval Test match. The weather was playing hide and seek from the start of the day and eventually, the organizers chose to call the game off when West Indies was playing at 76 for 2. They needed 289 more runs to win the game.

India had declared their innings at 181 for 2, setting a 365-run target for the hosts. With the victory in the first Test match of the series, Rohit Sharma’s side was already running ahead with 1-0 lead.

With this India has won its ninth consecutive Test series against West Indies, achieving a remarkable milestone by scoring the fastest team 100 (in just 12.2 overs) during the second innings of the Test match.

Mohammed Siraj was named the player of the match for his outstanding performance in the first innings, where he took career-best figures of 5 wickets for 60 runs in 23.4 overs. His brilliant spell caused the Windies to collapse from 229/5 to 255 all-out on the third day of the match.

India now holds the second position in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 points table with 16 points and an impressive points percentage (PCT) of 66.67. In contrast, West Indies currently sits at fifth place with 4 points and a PCT of 16.67.

At the top of the points table stands Pakistan, leading with 12 points from a single match and maintaining a perfect 100 PCT.
