New Delhi : World Cup winner Gautam Gambhir shared his thoughts over obsession with Mahendra Singh Dhoni's famous winning six and claimed that it was the effort of the whole team in winning the tournament.

On the 9th anniversary of India's World Cup win, Gautam Gambhir shared his difference in opinion over a post from a cricket website that highlighted MS Dhoni's winning six.

Gautam Gambhir had been the part of the Indian cricket team at several crucial tournaments and also delivered on most of the occasions when his team needed him to score.

Here is Gautam Gambhir's reaction on the ESPN tweet over Mahendra Singh Dhoni's glorious six.

Gautam Gambhir's 97 in the World Cup 2011 final came when India were chasing a tricky total of 275 at the Wankhede Stadium; India's chase started on a horrific note with Virender Sehwag losing his wicket in the very 1st over. Sachin Tendulkar showed glimpses of brilliance but his stay was cut short by Lasith Malinga who got the batting great for 18, silencing the Wankhede crowd.

It was a brilliant batting show by Gautam Gambhir and Mahendra Singh Dhoni that took India to the victory in the game.

Gambhir's knock in the World Cup final is among the most underrated ones in the history of the sport. In fact, Dhoni was named the Man of the Match in the World Cup final for his 79-ball 91.
