New Delhi : Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan made a dream start of his international T20 career as he became the second Indian to slam half century in his debut match. He was both calm and composed in his first T20 match as he scored a half century at Narendra Modi stadium. Kishan slammed back-to-back sixes on Adil Rashid’s delivery to reach the milestone.

Prior to him Ajinkya Rahane had slammed half century in the debut match in 2011; Rahane had scored 61 runs in that match against England in Manchester.

Ishan Kishan was called in playing XI to replace Shikhar Dhawan in the second T20I match. Kishan opened the innings alongside KL Rahul who dismissed for a duck.

Watch how Ishan Kishan scored a brilliant fifty in the second T20 match below:

Kishan was dismissed by Rashid on the same over he scored his fifty on 54 runs.

Later, with Virat Kohli also slamming a half century, India registered a 7-wicket win to level the series 1-1.
