At Lord's, Mahendra Singh Dhoni booed, his dismissal applauded

Lords : India losing to England at Lord’s in the second ODI was not the only sad thing, former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was booed by the audiences and his dismissal was applauded.
Despite the fact he completed 10,000 ODI runs on the ground, there was no standing ovation for the star cricketer.
Indian fans were unable to control their frustration on Mahendra Singh Dhoni's slow approach against a strong total of 323 runs by England in second ODI.
Dhoni came to bat when India needed 183 runs in 23 overs at an asking rate of 8 per over. His approach thereafter was baffling: Dhoni scored 37 off 59 balls and hit only two boundaries.
India lost the match with 86 runs and the series has been levelled by 1-1.
The criticism of Dhoni did not stop at the stadium only, but people also thrashed him on social media too. Read some of the reactions below:
I am a massive fan of MS Dhoni but what was that all about ? He is the king of finishes but today’s innings baffled me !

This is very disappointing , MS DHONI playing this match for his own records.

#ENGvIND baffling play by India and MS Dhoni. This clearly justifies the end of road for Raina, dhoni in ODI.

MS Dhoni is preferred over Karthik because of his past achievements and reputation. This approach will take India to nowhere. #ENGvIND
