Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium curator Pandurang Salgaoncar was suspended after a sting operation by India Today. The reporters disguised as bookies and Salgaoncar assured them that the pitch will be made as per their request.
Subsequently, match referee cleared the 2nd ODI which was otherwise in danger of being cancelled. India eventually won the match by six wickets to draw level in the three-match series. The third and final ODI is scheduled to take place in Kanpur on Sunday (October 29).
