R Ashwin takes wicket on mystery ball, surprise action

Chennai : Ravichandran Ashwin is one hell of a bowler when he is in his best form and in the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League, he is proving to be a 'surprise' bowler too.

Absolutely out of the blue, he has invented a 'mystery' ball with a 'surprise' action. He bowled his mystery delivery against the Panthers and interestingly he even got a wicket on that too.

What's up with mystery ball?

He runs in like he usually does and then he delivers the ball without any follow-through of his non-bowling arm. It proved to be effective as he picked up the wicket of Kiren Akash as the batsman seemed surprised.

In the last over when Dragons had the task of defending 32 runs. Ashwin came up with the goods as the Dragons won the match by 30 runs.

Meanwhile, Ashwin will travel to West Indies as he has been picked for the Tests. It would be interesting to see if he tries the same bowling action in the Caribbean or not.
